If You Look Good, You Feel Good!

Some may question why I even do this blog or why does any of this matter.  These things are so temporal and this is not what really matters.  I beg to differ.  When we look good, we feel good.  Have you ever been sick and the longer you stayed in your pajamas and stayed in bed the worse you felt?  Have you ever been sick but HAD to be somewhere so you got up, got ready, did your hair and put makeup on and already you felt better?  People say, "Don't judge a book by its cover."  Yes, in theory that is a great thought but in reality people do judge a book by its cover.  When you are at the store and a guy walks by with piercings, tattoos, and all black on what do you think?  When a woman walks by you with greasy hair and sweats on what do you think?  How about if a woman in dark well fitted jeans, a cute jacket, a cute necklace,  and a stylish hairstyle walks by?  See the difference?  Some people might say, "I don't care what people think."  How do you feel about how people treat you?   Again, the truth is you will be treated better and people will react to you differently if you look nice, put together, and approachable.  Here are a few easy tips to looking your best and why it does matter.

Get Up and Get Ready
This is a perfect start to every day.  It helps you feel energized and like you are ready to tackle anything.  A great tip is to go look in the mirror after and say, "I am beautiful."  Sounds cheesy but it will help your confidence, others will feel that, and smile upon it.

Shoulders Back
Picture a beautiful model and now picture her with slumped shoulders.  It changes her whole image.  It does not reflect confidence.  It does not reflect a strong, healthy body.  It does not reflect happiness and honestly it is very unflattering.  This is hard to remember sometimes unless you are in front of a mirror all day long.  A good tip is to write, "shoulders back" on your mirror with lipstick to remind you every morning.

Take Five
Many of us re rushing to get somewhere every day.  Many of us are putting all our time into our kids and forget about ourselves.  Makeup is one amazing key to feeling good.  Achieve the five minute face.  Put foundation on, put some eye shadow on, pluck your eyebrows, curl your eyelashes, and add mascara.  How long does that take?  No more than five minutes and it will help you look awake, alive and beautiful.  IT IS WORTH IT!  P.S. Foundation paired with a good moisturizer actually protects your skin for long lasting, young looking skin.

Accessories
At the very least, put some earrings on and some CUTE shoes.  Earrings finish off a look and make you look like you care...which you do!  I have a good friend and even if she just rolled out of bed she will put earrings on.  She looks like she got ready just by having earrings on. When I say cute shoes I do not mean running shoes.

Cute Loungewear
It is important to look good, so you feel good even when you are lounging and sleeping.  If you put a lot of effort into looking good during the day and then come home and put on slouchy, stained, or holey ugly sweats or pajamas you will not feel good.  You will start slouching your shoulders and become tired instantly.  If you put on a cute pair of Pajama bottoms with a cute top you will feel cute when you curl into bed and when you wake up in the morning.  Your whole outlook on life will be better and your significant other will thank you too.

Wear A Smile
Nothing says beauty like a smile.  Smile at someone every where you go and you will look confident, pretty and pass on the smile to the world.

"I believe in manicures. I believe in overdressing. I believe in primping at leisure and wearing lipstick. I believe in pink. I believe happy girls are the prettiest girls." Audrey Hepburn

Hahaha laughed about your significant other will thank you! This post reminded me of advice you once gave that I haven't forgotten. Feeling tired? Go exercise to feel energized and good.

I love this. I love reading it. Have clean teeth and wear perfume. Teach your kids that we take care of our bodies because they are temples. Respect your body by taking care of it. :)
