*~Monday's Miracle~*

Suffer the Children

I have seen and heard about so many miracles this week, it was hard to choose.  I loved this story.  I heard it in my LDS general conference we watched this weekend.  A story was told about our prophet and leader President Thomas S Monson.  He was on a trip to Louisiana doing speaches and talks.  One man asked him if he would have time to visit a ten year old girl who was violently ill with Cancer.  Her name was Crystal.   Her family had been praying that he would be able to come visit.  Pres Monson.  She lived very far away and there just seemed to be no time to get all the way to her house. He instead asked everyone he was speaking to to pray for her and her family.  As he rose to speak the spirit whispered to him, "Suffer the little children to come unto me and forbid them not for such is the kingdom of God."  The name and image of the little girl did not leave his mind.  He rearranged his schedule and traveled the many miles to see her. Her illness had made her so weak she could not move or speak.  And she has lost her sight as well.  He sat beside her and said, "Crystal, I'm here."  She struggled but was able to say, "Brother Monson, I knew you would come."

What a miracle that we can receive promptings and hear God talking to us.  What a miracle for this little girl that President Monson listened and went to see her.

Another little miracle that just barely happened I wanted to mention.  My son and daughter were fighting today which is not unusual.  He said to me, "Lucy did it!"  I had been watching the whole thing and she did not do it.  I told him to not lie to me and how it is not good to tattle or blame.  I thought he was asleep but he just came out and said, "Mom, I have something very important to tell you.  I am very sorry that I lied today."  I think he must have been hearing promptings from the spirit as well.  He is such a good spirit and good boy.   I love him.

Hi Annie,

Thanks for your comment on my blog:)

Yes, people always ask if we are Mormon ...when I say NO...the next is...Catholic? and to that I say YES :) We are Catholic, but my best friend is LDS, so I am very familiar with that church as well. Love the family values!

Are you seriously just 26 years old? If so...well, I had my first three by the time I was 26. Now I'm 41 and have 9. If you want a mega-family, believe me...you have plenty of time to create it ( I think the term "mega family" is for those who have 7 or more kids! funny term, I know) Anyway, when people ask me, "So...how many kids DO you want?" I say, "As many as I'm supposed to have!" or "I want all that I get!" or I might joke, "Well, I want all them. They're all good kids!" But the truth is, my husband and I feel that our kids do nothing but bless us and our family. The more we are given, the more blessed we feel. One child is pure joy - can you just imagine what it's like to have that joy 9 times over? That's what I tell people. I don't care if people think we are "crazy" -- we are not! Just because not everyone desires a large family does not mean those who do are crazy.

I hope you are blessed with many more children! Six is a good number :) In fact, every number is a good number when it is YOUR number, you know? Seven was a good number for me...back when we had seven. Now, nine is our perfect number. But you know what? Ten could be a great number, too. I'll let you know if we ever get there:) We almost did, twice, over the past 10 months...but those two little souls went back to Heaven before we got to meet them. I will meet them one day, though. That is a for sure thing!

I would have sent this in a private email...but I couldn't find your email listed anywhere. Sorry if this is too long!
